摘要 An LCD and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a fringe field by forming an interval between a common electrode and a pixel electrode formed alternately to each other in one of two substrates keeping a constant cell gap to be smaller than the cell gap of the two substrates, thereby improving a viewing angle. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) includes a substrate, a gate wiring(101), a data wiring(103), a common wiring(104), at least one TFT(Thin Film Transistor), a protection layer, a pixel electrode(116), and a common electrode(118). The gate wiring and the data wiring define a pixel region on the substrate. The common wiring is arranged away from the gate wiring. The at least one TFT is formed in the pixel region. The protection layer is positioned in the front of the substrate including the TFT and has an uneven part(P1) with a shape distributed into a large number of uneven parts. The pixel electrode is connected to the TFT. The common electrode is connected to the common wiring and is formed in the uneven part of the protection layer.
