The camshaft adjuster (1) has an adjustment device (3) arranged on a camshaft (2) with a rotor (3.2) arranged radially relative to the camshaft axis and enclosing a stator (3.1) and two axially applied thrust washers (3.3,3.4) on the ends of the stator and the rotor. The stator and the first thrust washer bounding the adjuster towards the cams (2.1,1.1') are frictionally joined to the camshaft by a cylindrical surface.
