OPTICAL FILM, OPTICAL FILTER AND DISPLAY DEVICES COMPRISING THE SAME

An optical film, and an optical filter and a display device having the optical film are provided to improve a color representation performance of the display device by selectively cutting yellow light with a wavelength between 470 and 510nm. An optical film includes a transparent substrate(10) and a selective visual ray absorbing layer(20). The selective visual ray absorbing layer contains at least one dye having a maximum absorbing wavelength between 470 and 510nm. The selective visual ray absorbing layer is formed on the transparent substrate. A maximum transmittance of the selective visual ray absorbing layer at the maximum absorbing wavelength of the dye is lower than 60%. An FWHM(Full Width at Half Maximal) of the selective visual ray absorbing layer lies between 10 and 60nm.
