PURPOSE: A method for sewing high strength mat for civil engineering and a device thereof are provided to improve productivity of the mat by sewing a narrow mat to make a wide mat, and to improve intensity of the mat. CONSTITUTION: A device for sewing high strength mat for civil engineering includes a sewing tool(10), a location detector(20), a motor(30), a pedal(40), and a controller(50). A plurality of sewing machines(100) are arranged on a radial direction while maintaining proper intervals. The sewing machine is controlled by a control unit consisting of the pedal and the controller. The motor drives the sewing machine, and the pedal generates a control signal of the motor. The controller includes a sewing speed set up device(51), a needle number setting device(52), a motor control part(53), and a sewing device control part(54).
