IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, PRINT RESULT INSPECTION DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of performing a further precise inspection for print result.

SOLUTION: A printer comprises a printing part printing an image on a paper based on original image data and the inspection device 16 inspecting an image print result by the printing part. The inspection device 16 comprises a reader 17 provided on a paper carrying passage formed by a carrying guide plate 38, which reads the image printed on the paper by the printing part to acquire inspection image data; a determination means determining the quality of the print result based on the inspection image data; and a main sheet 46 pressing the paper to the carrying guide plate 38 in the vicinity of an image reading position R by the reader 17 to flatten the paper.
