PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of performing indexing of a localized enhanced control channel element (eCCE) and distributed eCCE (ePDCCH) within a radio frame.SOLUTION: A method comprises indexes a local eCCE and a distributed eCCE based on an aggregation level for an enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (ePDCCH) transmission individually. The physical index of the localized eCCE may be indexed in increasing frequency order while indexing is an aggregation level specifically mapped with respect to the physical index. For the distributed eCCE, logical indexing may further consider inter-cell interference (ICIC) coordinate regions. An eCCE index belonging to a search space of any aggregation level (AGGL) may be distributed across different ICIC coordinate regions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4A
