PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color electrophotographic image receiving material which is excellent in the fineness of an image, gloss of a printing surface and further toner fixability, and in which the sharpness equal to that of photographic printing paper is obtainable. SOLUTION: The color electrophotographic image receiving material consists of thermoplastic resin coated paper as a support, and has one or more layers including a toner image receiving layer containing inorganic particulates and a water soluble binder formed on the support, wherein the inorganic particulates are pulverized; the average secondary grain size is≤500 nm; the water soluble binder is a denatured polvinyl alcohol resin; and the denatured polvinyl alcohol resin is acetoacetyl denatured polvinyl alcohol. diacetone acrylamide denatured polvinyl alcohol, or silanol denatured polvinyl alcohol.
