<p>The invention discloses a method and system for establishing the pain level in an awake, semi-awake or sedated patient. The method comprises steps of analyzing a multidimensional array of physiological signals to obtain the pain level of a patient. The signals are processed so as to extract a vector of Great Plurality of Features representing the patient's physiological status. The vector of the Great Plurality of Features is processed and classified into at least two classes for at least two conditions. These classes represent the pain level of the patient at a given time interval and thereby are used to establish the pain level of an awake, semi- awake or sedated patient. A system is provided for establishing the pain level in an awake, semi- awake or sedated patient.</p> |
