<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of a battery and to reduce the copper loss caused by current reduction by using a step-up/step-down chopper in a hybrid system having a motor and a generator and to improve electric energy efficiency by normally supplying generated power from the generator and supplying the power from the battery as needed. <P>SOLUTION: The generated power by an alternator 11 is stepped down by the step-up/step-down chopper 44, stored in the battery 14 or supplied to the motor 5 through a VVVF inverter converter 42 as an inverter. When the motor 5 is operated, the generated power by the alternator 11 and feeding power from the battery 14 stepped up by the step-up/step-down chopper 44 are supplied to the motor 5 through the VVVF inverter converter 42 operated as the inverter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
