The invention provides a process for producing a polyhydroxypolyether resin, the polyhydroxypolyether resin, a polyhydroxypolyether resin composition, and a cured product thereof. A settlement solution of the invention is characterized in that: a difunctional epoxy resin (X), a dihydric phenol compound (Y), a compound (A) with more than three functional groups selected from epoxy groups and active hydrogens which react with the epoxy groups, and a compound (B) with one functional group are used as reacting raw materials; a polymerization reaction occurs in the presence of a catalyst; and furthermore mass ratio of the polyhydroxypolyether resin with a weight-average molecular weight between 15000 and 100000 exceeds zero and is below 0.05. The polyhydroxypolyether resin has excellent solubility, film forming performance, high heat resistance and high adhesion performance. Furthermore the polyhydroxypolyether resin as an adhering agent has an appropriate viscosity and excellent fluidity. |
