PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which prevents the misrecognition of a print start signal due to noises, by adjusting print action timing corresponding to setting change in accordance with the paper size of the precedent page or paper slipping even when printing a plurality of pages continuously, so as not to hinder receiving a regular print start signal. SOLUTION: A line synchronizing signal after receiving the print start signal is counted by a sheet position counter 16a, and when the line synchronizing signal reaches a first threshold value showing the movement of the sheet to a printable region, a print start signal is outputted to start a printing position counter 16c. The input of the following print start signal is masked by a mask circuit 16f till the counting value of the line synchronizing signal at the print position counter 16c reaches the second preset threshold value for showing completion of printing to the sheet, preventing the misstarting of the print position counter 16c while instructing an image generation block 16e to generate image data. When and after the counting value of the synchronizing signal reaches the second threshold value indicating the completion of printing, the mask with respect to the input of the following print start signal is released.
