A boring rod, especially for simultaneous machining several sites, e.g. bearings for camshaft or crankshaft, has the separate cutting blades (7, 9) separately adjustable via integral adjusters (65) activated by a concentric adjusting shaft (43) inside the boring rod. The adjusting shaft is attached to a hydraulic servo cylinder (17) for simple adjustment using the cutting fluid to power the servo.
