Moving bed process for producing phenylalkanes

Preparing phenyl alkanes comprises alkylating an aromatic compound with a charge containing 9-16C olefins in a reactor having several reaction zones, where each zone has a solid acid catalyst in a movable bed in which the catalyst in each zone is sent in to a re-activation circuit and re-generation circuit continuously and sequentially at its exit from the zone and re-introduced in to the zone. An independent claim is included for a reactor for the preparation of phenyl alkanes comprising reaction zones in series that travel through the circulating catalyst in movable bed, where the catalyst is sent in to re-activation and re-generation circuits, sequentially and continuously, and second reaction zones work with the catalyst in which the catalyst in each zone is sent in to the circuit continuously at its exit from the zone, where the charge comprises effluents of the reaction zones that are added to the fraction of olefinic charge, and a mixture containing the aromatic compound and alkylating agent.
