The method involves providing an indicated global list of complete hotel or travel data sets in which all hotels are represented in a non-redundant form. The data sets that represent the information of hotel are stored together with an index corresponding to the global list in a sub database. The sub database is scanned and a result list is provided, where a result with a smallest index is entered into the result list.
