PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium which enables a user to visually confirm the below mentioned capacity information by easily and accurately displaying the capacity and time of the recorded area and the capacity and time of the free area (capacity information) without decreasing recordable capacity and without adding any additional constitution to itself. SOLUTION: This is represented by an optical information recording medium provided with a display area (9) for the capacity information which can be viewed from a light irradiation side at the part corresponding to the recording area (A) of a recording layer changing in optical characteristics by light irradiation. As its concrete style, graduations are formed by varying the groove width of a guide groove, providing a stuck layer additionally and varying its stress distribution, or using, on a substrate, ink which is visible without affecting recording light, reproduction light, and erasing light. |
