PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that variation in sensitiveness of a photosensitive body is increased with respect to wavelength shift of a wavelength of an emission light due to temperature elevation or difference in a lot of a blue-violet semiconductor laser device so that a defective image may be formed. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic image recorder comprises a photoconductive image carrier body and an exposing means for forming an electrostatic latent image by exposing an image on the surface of the image carrier body. A light source for a light having an emission wavelength of 380-450 nm is used as the exposing means and an optical member having an opposite characteristic of a spectral sensitivity characteristic of the image carrier body is used.
