PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle audio system capable of preventing comfort from being damaged by switching an output device of audio sound in timing desired by a user. SOLUTION: The system is provided with: an on-vehicle audio equipment 100 mounted on a vehicle; a headphone attachment/detachment detection means for detecting attachment or detachment of a headphone 300 mounted to a passenger of the vehicle; and an audio sound output switch means for making audio sound output of the on-vehicle audio equipment available when it is detected by the headphone attachment/detachment detection means that the headphone has been removed.
