<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a packaging area by laying an antenna for a reader/writer and an antenna for a card IC one on top of the other. <P>SOLUTION: The antennas for the card IF and the antennas for the reader/writer are formed in spiral patterns on the front and back of a flexible substrate to construct an antenna with a large opening area. A loop antenna for the reader/writer is formed between the spiral lines of the loop antenna for the card IC to prevent the line capacity of the spirals from increasing. As a result, it is made easy to tune in to a resonant frequency and the efficiency of rectification at the analog front end of a card compatibility function is enhanced. Also, the reader/writer function and the card IC function are integrated on the single semiconductor circuit chip by use of a MOS process to provide an excellent IC module and the antenna for the IC module. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
