PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchange burner capable of sufficiently performing convection heat transfer of a combustion exhaust gas, and improving an exhaust heat recovering efficiency of the combustion exhaust gas. SOLUTION: This heat exchange burner 1 has a burner body 2 constituted by forming a cylindrical partitioning wall 22 at an inner peripheral side of a cylindrical housing 21 provided with a suction opening 23 and an exhaust opening 24, a heat transfer tube 3 inserted and disposed at an inner peripheral side of the partitioning wall 22, and a gas pipe 3 inserted and disposed at an inner peripheral side of the heat transfer tube 4. This heat exchange burner 1 is constituted to allow the combustion air A sucked from the suction opening 23 to pass through in an outer air intake passage 101 and an inner air intake passage 102 to be burned with a fuel F jetted from a gas pipe 3, and to allow the combustion exhaust gas G2 to pass in an exhaust passage 103 to be guided to the exhaust opening 24. A heat exchange encouraging member 5 having the spiral shape is disposed in the exhaust passage 103 for allowing the combustion exhaust gas G2 to be swirled and passed therethrough.
