PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box with a lid that has a structure for preventing the lid from opening, which is a simple and has an almost trouble-free structure. SOLUTION: The box 1 with a lid has a bottom plate 2, side plates 3, 4 whose upper ends are covered by molding members 5a, 5b, and a lid plate 8 for covering the opening of an upper face. The lid plate 8 is formed of a plastic corrugated board and securing means for preventing the lid from opening is provided on the side of the lid plate 8. The securing means has a securing main piece 35 which is thermally deformed downwardly 90 degrees along the outside edge of the molding member 5a, and a securing hook 36 at the end of the securing main piece 35 which is thermally deformed inwardly further 90 degrees from a position lower than the molding member 5a by substantially the height of the molding member and is formed to have a length substantially equal to the wall thickness of the molding member 5a.
