PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which enables a simple perusal with a high degree of freedom to be performed when a plurality of constituents of an organization in the organization such as an enterprise peruse the contents being held by metadata, and can reduce network traffics and the power consumption within the organization. SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is equipped with a URI list storage section, a metadata acquiring section, a metadata storage section, a metadata analyzing section, an output data forming section, and an output section for the constitution of the image forming apparatus. In this case, the URI list storage section holds positional information (URI) in a network as a list. The metadata acquiring section acquires metadata corresponding to each URI from an external server through the network. The metadata storage section stores the metadata as a metadata list. The metadata analyzing section extracts the information when an element includes information which should be output. The output data forming section converts data for output which has been formed by the metadata analyzing section into specified printing style data.
