Embodiments of the present invention provide an automatic zooming method and device, comprising: according to a preview image in a preview box on a screen, determining the outline of the subject of the preview image and the center point of the subject; when the center point of the subject coincides with the center point of the preview box, determining zoom parameters according to the size of the subject outline and the preview box, and the zoom parameters comprise at least one of the focus to be adjusted of a camera and zoom ratio of the preview image; and according to the zoom parameters, zooming the camera. With the method, users can quickly adjust the preview image to a proper size. |
