PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism that encourages a user to use the latest edition of a document.SOLUTION: There is provided an information processing apparatus managing the versions of a document, and comprising: reception means that receives a predetermined document from an external terminal; specification means that specifies document identification information from the document received by the reception means; transmission means that, when the document is determined not to be the latest version of the document on the basis of the document identification information specified by the specification means, transmits the latest version of the document to the external terminal; and output means that outputs the latest version of the document.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
