PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent seedlings in a waiting state from being conveyed in an unanticipated posture or an unanticipated timing. SOLUTION: The transplanter 1 is constituted as follows. The potted seedling N in the waiting state is pushed down by a sending tine 12, and moved downward by being nipped by a pair of vertically sending rollers 14 axially supported in nearly parallel and mutually rotating in the reverse direction. A clearance S narrower than the diameter of the stem leaf part Nb of the potted seedling and wider than the thickness of a lower leaf Nc of the potted seedling N is formed between the pair of the vertically sending rollers 14.
