PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor supporter which stores a monitor below the upper surface of a dashboard, makes the monitor protrude above the dashboard and fixes it thereto during use and maintains its posture. SOLUTION: The monitor supporter comprises an elevating/lowering guide hole 11 composed of a long hole in the longitudinal direction and demarcated by a wall surface, a casing body 1 forming a transverse groove 12 extending in the transverse direction from the elevating/lowering guide hole 11 and a longitudinal groove 13 extending in the longitudinal direction from the vicinity of the end of the transverse groove 12, a movable member 2 which is moved along the transverse groove 12, a first engagement claw plate 3 which has engagement claws 31, 33 at upper and lower ends and is fixed to the movable member 2, an operation member 4 which has a push-button 44 on an upper end, and is moved along the longitudinal groove 13 to drive the movable member 2 in the transverse direction, an elevating/lowering member 5 which is elevated and lowered along the elevating/lowering guide hole 11 of the casing body 1 to support a monitor, and a second engagement claw plate 54 which has a lower engagement claw 541 engaged with the engagement claw 31 at the lower end of the first engagement claw plate 3 and an engagement claw 542 engaged with the engagement claw 33 at the upper end of the first engagement claw plate 3, and is fixed to the elevating/lowering member 5.
