A vertical multi-vaned wind turbine in which the vanes are fitted on three different levels and are hinged as part of the shell of a wide and elongated eggshell shaped turbine. The vanes are opened in sequence by the force of the wind, and driven in open position by this force through 180 degrees of their rotation, then return, closed through the next 180 degrees. The power is delivered through all six vanes going through the same process in quick succession for each single rotation of the turbine at a speed close to that of the wind. An additional twelve wavecrest shaped, raised shells on the remaining twelve smooth panels can add substantial torque to the turbine.
