<p>Provided is an imaging element (212) including imaging pixels (310, 311, 312) of a plurality of types having different spectral sensitivity characteristics so as to capture an image formed by an optical system. The imaging pixels (310, 311, 312) are arranged in a two-dimensional shape. The imaging element (212) includes a plurality of focal point detection pixel strings, each formed by a plurality of focal point detection pixels (320, 330) arranged at a part of a predetermined array and at positions along a plurality of directions which intersect one another. The focal point detection pixel strings detect the focal point adjusting state of the optical system. The focal point detection pixels at positions where the focal detection pixel strings intersect each other are arranged at a position corresponding to a position of an imaging pixel having the spectral sensitivity feature of the highest density in a predetermined array.</p> |
