PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous sheet processing device and a continuous sheet processing method capable of increasing a processing speed.SOLUTION: A continuous paper processing device includes a deliver roller for delivering continuous sheets to the downstream side, a high-speed roller rotated at a speed higher than the delivery roller, a cutting auxiliary member brought into contact with the continuous sheets to which tension has been applied by a rotational speed difference between both rollers, and a sheet detection part positioned on the downstream side of the cutting auxiliary member to detect a unit sheet cut off from the continuous sheets by its contact with the cutting auxiliary member to be conveyed first and subsequent continuous sheets. The high-speed roller includes a contacting/separating roller movable in a contacting/separating direction, and a control unit is provided to control the moving operation of the contacting/separating direction based on a distance between the unit sheet conveyed first on a conveyance path and detected by the sheet detection part and the subsequent continuous sheets.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
