<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose energy efficiency is improved and also which uses energy resource excellent for environment. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus incorporates a power generation unit (1001) as a main power source, and power is independently supplied by the power generation unit (1001), and the power is supplied to respective parts (1003)-(1007) provided to the image forming apparatus. Thus, since the need of power supply from a commercial power source being an external driving power source is eliminated, the apparatus is not externally affected and decentralized power supply is attained without depending on centralized power supply where the power supply is stopped by power failure or the abnormality of other pieces of equipment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
