PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission module for high speed transmission, that can be mounted even in a compact transmission device, and to provide a transmission device.SOLUTION: An optical transmission module 1 including a port 2 for long distance transmission into which an optical transceiver for long distance transmission is inserted, and a port 3 for short distance transmission into which an optical transceiver for short distance transmission or a connector provided at the end of a cable is inserted, and outputting a signal inputted from the port 2 for long distance transmission from the port 3 for short distance transmission, and outputting a signal inputted from the port 3 for short distance transmission from the port 2 for long distance transmission, further includes a first substrate 16 where the port 2 for long distance transmission is mounted at the front side end, and a second substrate 17 where the port 3 for short distance transmission is mounted at the front side end.
