PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating and melting device capable of enhancing the heating efficiency and the heat responsiveness by directly heating only a heating unit, and preventing degradation of a working environment caused by heating of a grip. SOLUTION: The heating and melting device comprises a soldering iron stand 15 having an induction coil 7, and a soldering iron 21 having a soldering iron part 23 to be heated by the alternating magnetic field from the induction coil 7. A communication means 26 to output temperature information of the soldering iron part 23 to the soldering iron stand 15 is provided on a soldering iron 21, and an inverter circuit control device 12 to control the soldering iron part 23 to be at the set temperature based on temperature information of the soldering iron part 23. Only the soldering iron part 23 required for the soldering work is heated, the heating efficiency is enhanced.
