<p>A water treatment unit for softening tap water comprises:
- a compartment (19) for a water treatment substance (15), and
- water-path defining means (5, 6, 8) which are geometrically arranged such that the water to be treated enters the compartment (19) at a radial outside located inlet (10), traverses the compartment (19) containing the water treatment substance (15) radial inwards and exits the compartment (19) at an outlet (6, 11) which is located radial inside vis-à-vis the inlet (10).</p> |
