<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive brake hydraulic pressure generation device capable of being applied to a regenerative cooperative brake control. <P>SOLUTION: The brake hydraulic pressure generation device is equipped with a hydraulic pressure type booster HB, and regulates an output hydraulic pressure of a hydraulic pressure source PS to the hydraulic pressure according to the braking operation by a pressure regulating valve RG, and assists the braking force by introducing the output hydraulic pressure of the pressure regulating valve to a power chamber C8 to output. The output hydraulic pressure of the hydraulic pressure source is regulated by an electrical means (proportional solenoid valves SV1 and SV2) and introduced to a reaction force chamber C7 to apply the reaction force.
