PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold closing device capable of generating an output of an electric motor as mold closing force, with high efficiency.SOLUTION: A mold closing device comprises: a stationary platen 12 for holding a stationary mold 14; a movable platen 13 which is provided to move forward and backward with respect to the stationary platen 12, and holding a movable mold 15; plural tie bars 17 for connecting the stationary platen 12 and the movable platen 13 during mold closing; and a towing device for towing the plural tie bars 17, thereby generating mold closing force between the stationary mold 14 and the movable mold 15. The towing device comprises: a servo motor 31 for outputting rotation drive force; and a toggle link mechanism 40 disposed on a back face side of the stationary platen 12 or of the movable platen 13, and is extended and shrunk by the rotation drive force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
