PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in image quality by luminance expansion process.SOLUTION: An image processing device includes: a first expansion ratio calculation unit 1131 that calculates expansion ratio Gt(x,y) used in luminance expansion process to expand the range of the luminance of the image data for each first unit region of the image data on the basis of the image feature quantity related to the luminance of the image data; a second expansion ratio calculation unit 1132 that calculates the expansion ratio upper limit value G(x,y) used in the luminance expansion process for each second unit region of the image data on the basis of pixel value of pixels constituting the image data; a third expansion ratio calculation unit 1133 that calculates application expansion ratio Gd(x,y) applied to the luminance expansion process on the basis of the expansion ratio Gt(x,y) and the expansion ratio upper limit value G(x,y); and a luminance expansion processing unit 1312 that performs the luminance expansion process on the image data using the application expansion ratio Gd(x,y).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
