PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin-coated carrier for an electrophotographic developer, in which carrier deposition is prevented while reduction in weight of the carrier is achieved, and the carrier particles have high fracture strength and show stabilized charging characteristics in long-term printing, and to provide an electrophotographic developer using the resin-coated carrier.SOLUTION: There are provided a non-resin-filled type resin-coated carrier for an electrophotographic developer having a resin-coated layer on a surface of a porous ferrite core material, where the porous ferrite core material has a pore volume of 55-160 mm/g and a peak pore size of 0.2-0.7 μm, and the carrier has a carrier strength which is a change rate of a volume average particle size before and after stirring and is represented by formula (1) of less than 5.0%; and an electrophotographic developer using the resin-coated carrier.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
