PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nut for a rail used when attaching parts (electrical equipment) in a control panel such as stabilization power supply, a breaker, and a sequencer which are heavy objects as well as a capacitor and switches to the rail detachably and capable of eliminating the possibility that a cylindrical part is caught in a long hole and moving smoothly for the rail. SOLUTION: This nut for the rail is composed of a base part 2 inserted and locked in a locking channel 54 of the rail 50, a rising part 3 formed on the halfway of it by rising, the cylindrical part 4 formed at substantially center of it by protruding downward and preventing its lower face 9 from protruding from a lower face 10 of the base part 2, and a female screw 5 formed in it.
