PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate pressure receiver capable of feeding liquid phase refrigerant stored in a vessel as saturated liquid to expansion devices without producing any flash.SOLUTION: An intermediate pressure receiver [5] comprises a cylindrical vessel [15], refrigerant feeding-in pipes [17 or 18], refrigerant feeding-out pipes [17 or 18] and a gaseous phase flowing-out pipe [16]. The refrigerant feeding-in pipes [17 or 18] are elements for guiding gas-liquid two-phase refrigerant to the vessel [15] and connected to a bottom part of the vessel [15]. The refrigerant feeding-out pipes [17 or 18] are elements for guiding the liquid-phase refrigerant stored in the vessel [15] to expansion devices [10, 11] and connected to the bottom part of the vessel [15]. The gaseous phase flowing-out pipe [16] is an element into which the gaseous refrigerant separated from the gas-liquid two-phase refrigerant in the vessel [15] flows and this pipe is connected to the vessel [15].
