An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for preparing a ferrite metal oxide catalyst, the method comprising the steps of: (a) dissolving a magnesium nitrate precursor and an iron nitrate precursor in a polar solvent to prepare a precursor solution; (b) pyrolyzing the precursor solution while spraying the precursor solution into a reactor using a carrier gas, to form a catalyst powder; and (c) transporting the catalyst powder to a storage tank, and then calcining the catalyst powder in the storage tank.
