A method for determining a height of an area cell, the method includes: scanning a line of light over multiple area cells of an object that form an area and obtaining multiple images; wherein each image comprises detection signals associated with at least one area cell; determining a height of an area cell in response to a comparison between image information of different images that is associated with the area cell.
