A machine for corking by threaded covers of containers made of plastic, with rectilinear direction of their movement, is used at production of food beverages, liquid pharmaceutical and chemical preparations, fertilizers etc. After setting the cover (7) on the neck of container (3) the latter is fixed with disks (17) motionlessly relative to conveyer (2). The twisting of covers is achieved by a pair of drive belts (8). They are located symmetrically from the axis of conveyer, on the height - at the level of threaded part of the neck of capacity. From each side, opposite to conveyer, end-to-end to the belt (8), a row of supporting non-driven rollers is located (11). The opposite rollers of two rows are spring-loaded towards each other. The distances between the opposite rollers of two rows and between the adjacent rollers of one row are accepted under condition of the coverage by belt not less than 1/8 of the perimeter of cover when the container is present in the area of this roller. For guaranteeing the corking of containers with different diameters of neck the possibility of adjusting the distance between rollers (11) of one row and between the rows of rollers is provided.
