PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of toner charged to a reverse polarity to a normal charging polarity when toner including a metallic pigment having a conductivity is used.SOLUTION: A developing unit 15 comprises: a development roll 152 which is arranged so as to be rotatable in a manner of facing a photoreceptor drum holding an electrostatic latent image, holds a developer including toner containing a metallic pigment having conductivity and charged to a normal polarity and a carrier, is given with a potential having the same polarity as the normal polarity and develops the electrostatic latent image with the toner; and a layer thickness regulation member 155 which is arranged so as to face the development roll at a position different from the photoreceptor drum, and is given with a potential having the same polarity as the normal polarity and having a larger absolute value than the potential given to the development roll 152.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
