FIELD: measurement technology.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device and method of determining liquid density, in particular, liquefied gas. Device for determining liquid density comprises float (20), at least one measuring spring (30, 40) acting on float (20), elastic deformation of said spring of which is a measure of buoyancy force of float (20), and magnet (28), intended for detecting elastic deformation of measuring spring (30, 40) by means of magnetostrictive position measurement system. Quotient of weight and volume of float (20) is more than determined density, which holds when used in liquefied gases. Using elastic force, float (20) is pre-stretched in direction of buoyancy force in working area of measuring spring (30, 40).EFFECT: technical result is creation of a device and a method for determining liquid density, which can also be used with liquefied gas, that is, in conditions of high pressure and low density.17 cl, 3 dwg |
