摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance sensitivity to radioactive contamination of internal surfaces without raising background counting rate even if the size of radiation detectors is enlarged and to reduce errors depending on the mode of contamination. SOLUTION: This device is provided with radiation counting means 2 severally connected to a radiation detection means 1 made by arranging the plurality of radiation detectors and formed into a plurality of lines, is provided with a detection limit calculation means 3 for finding/storing the detection limit counting rate of each radiation detector from the background counting rate of each radiation detector, is provided with a count comparison means 4 for comparing the net counting rate of each radiation detector of the detection means with the detection limit counting rate stored in the calculation means to output the net counting rate and background counting rate from only radiation detectors whose net counting rate is equal to or more than the detection limit, and is provided with a radioactivity quantity conversion means 6 for converting counting rates totalized by a count totalization means 5 into radioactivity quantities, the totalization means 5 severally summating the net counting rates and background counting rates for each factor.
