PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of improving yield and reliability of sealing. SOLUTION: The display panel has a sealing member 6 which seals the peripheral part of a front substrate 2 and a peripheral part of a rear substrate 4. The sealing member 6 comprises a frame member 6a of rectangular annular shape arranged between the substrates 2, 4 along the peripheral part, a sealing material 6b to seal between the upper end face 61 of the frame member 6a and the front substrate 2, and a sealing material 6c to seal between the lower end face 62 of the front member 6a and the rear substrate 4. The sealing material 6b of the front substrate 2 side and the sealing material 6c of the rear substrate 4 side are restricted in their coating width and provided independently so as not to bridge each other, and by the surface tension of respective sealing materials 6b, 6c at each part, the frame member 6a is centered at nearly the center between the substrates 2, 4.
