<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of performing hot water-type heating, reheating and heat retention of bathtub water by efficiently utilizing the heat of hot water stored in a storage type water heater. <P>SOLUTION: When a hot water supply set temperature is set to be a temperature equal to or higher than 40°C which is hotter than the hot water near an intermediate hot water pouring port 33, intermediate temperature water of an intermediate portion in a hot water storage tank 2 is used with priority, and the tap water supplied from a water supply pipe 14 and reduced in pressure by a pressure reducer 40 is mixed by a first mixing valve 34 so that the water quantity is set to be the minimum, and hot water is supplied from a hot water supply combination tap 3 by controlling a second mixing valve 29 so that the high temperature water in the hot water storage tank 2 is not used. As the intermediate temperature water in the hot water storage tank 2 is reduced, a low-temperature water zone is formed by allowing the tap water to flow therein from a tap water intake portion 15 provided at a lower portion in the hot water storage tank 2, and it is possible to boil up, even if a heating means 1 is operated, because energy consumption efficiency (COP) is improved as the low temperature water is introduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
