The invention also relates to a method for producing a printing cylinder. The inventive method is characterized by winding the supporting layer (3) directly onto the peripheral surface (11) of the printing roller core (2). The elastomer layer (6) is applied to the support layer (3) and the support layer (3) and the elastomer layer (6) are joined directly on the printing roller core (2) by energy supply, such as a heat treatment.
