The present invention relates to a pattern generator for testing a display having a high resolution. To achieve this, the present invention includes a display panel to be tested and a pattern generator that generates pattern data required for testing the display panel and provides the pattern data to the display panel. The pattern generator includes: a key input unit as an input means that inputs a command for testing the image quality of the display panel; a display as a display means that provides a screen such that setting of the key input unit is possible; a serial conversion unit that provides a serial interface with the display panel; a control unit that performs a control to receive a resolution setting value through the key input unit and output the pattern data to the display panel; a pattern processing unit which generates and stores pattern data according to the set resolution; and a pattern transmission unit that transmits the pattern data generated and stored in the pattern processing unit to the serial conversion unit. The present invention may reduce the capacity of a memory required for testing the display panel having a high resolution of UHD or higher. |
