A method of forming a swimming pool shell is described using a reinforcing section with high performance fibres. Those fibres are preferably 5 selected from carbon fibres, basalt fibres and aramid fibres, particularly Kevlar. The reinforcing sections are located preferably intermediate walls of a fibre glass pool shell formed according to standard construction principles.
