The sliding unit is in particular used in a refinery for closing a coke drum at the bottom. The slider housing (10) is assembled of a stationary central (16) and two movable outer parts (15,17). A fluid duct (18) with two pipe ends (19,20) is accommodated in the central part (16). The unit is fitted with guiding elements (25) each of them provided with rollers in order to move along the rails. A bridge (22) or a basket (24) on top of the unit can be moved in order to close the slider.
